Skydance Paramount Set to Remove Around 2,000 United States Roles – News

Paramount Skydance is scheduled to begin large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, eliminating nearly 2,000 positions in the United States under a cost-cutting plan valued at $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction follow the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed this past August worth $8.4bn.

More overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, as the firm aiming to announce all specifics in its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.

Earlier reports suggested the firm was looking to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by the beginning of next month.

By December 2024, Paramount retained almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 project-based staff.

The company did not immediately respond on the matter.
