Two Men Accused with Inmate Homicide of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins

A pair of suspects stand accused of murder following the incarceration fatality of ex-Lostprophets frontman and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.

Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 stand indicted for homicide and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per law enforcement officials.

Watkins, 48 years old, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes including the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins was taken into custody following a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were confiscated.
